The role is part of the accounting team for E.On Energy Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) and E.ON Hydrogen and works closely with the business.

The team is responsible for ensuring in time and in quality financial reporting and for acting in close alignment with the business on all accounting related topics.

As the unit acts as a hub for the new solution business, creating transparency on the accounting impacts towards the business owners/decision makers is pivotal in this role.


Task description

  • Coordinates preparation of IFRS reporting for dedicated business units in the EIS/Green gas area and manages interfaces to involved stakeholders (local accounting organization, shared service center, group accounting, management board)
  • Being responsible for preparation, approval and disclosure of local GAAP accounts (HGB), including the support of audit for yearend closing (IFRS/HGB) and for quarterly IFRS closing by the External Auditor
  • Works in (virtual) project teams with the aim to provide accounting guidance on partnering, M&A and sales propositions specifically designed for EIS and Green Gas solutions
  • Builds the interface with the Accounting SSC concerning regular business processes and supports the business regarding the financial processes in SAP
  • Ensures implementation of accounting strategies (IFRS) and liaises with group management on business specific accounting policies focus topics are accounting for energy infrastructure, PPAs and leasing, potentially embedded in dedicated legal entities
  • Acts as a single point of contact for ad hoc questions from the stakeholders for the EIS/Green Gas business

Qualification

  • Proven academic capability graduate caliber in the field of business administration, finance & controlling with a strong accounting background (IFRS & HGB)
  • More than 5 years' experience in dealing with accounting and reporting requirement and stakeholder management
  • Fluency in business English and preferably German (other languages will be an advantage)
  • Strong communication skills and acting comfortably in different cultural environments
  • High level of personal integrity, reliability and ownership
  • Willingness to work in a fastchanging energy solution environment
  • Drive to improve your area of responsibility proactively and enthusiasm for working and winning in a team and developing yourself
