IFF is very excited to welcome a new
Payroll Specialist to our team in Hamburg and we hope it's you In this role you will be working according to hybrid working model (office & remote).


Your Scope & Key Responsibilities include:

  • Participation in monthly payroll run for multiple legal entities including all cross checks.
  • Ensuring year end processes and documentation are completed.
  • Ensuring all legal/federal/statutory filing and documents are completed to calendar.
  • Adherence to internal controls to SOX standards.
  • Coordination/monitoring of payroll processes with various external service providers.
  • Contact person for external and internal stakeholders, i.e. employees regarding payroll related matters control of ticketing system.
  • Participation in projects, e.g. extension of payroll responsibility covering additional legal entities.
  • Active support in improving local payroll processes/SOP's.
  • Participation in manual calculations, special events and ad hoc tasks as required.

Job Requirements:


Your Key Requirements and Competencies:

years of relevant German payroll processing experience required.

  • Tariff and nontariff / CBA experience desirable.
  • Relevant professional qualification/bachelor's degree desirable.
  • Knowledge of wage tax, social security and pension regulations required.
  • Fluency in German & English required.
  • Excel knowledge required.
  • Strong Team working & good interpersonal skills required.
  • Discreet, capable, hands on, knowledgeable and confident.
  • Ability to work with multiple teams, works councils and regional Managers.
  • Customer focused, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee pay.

Preferred qualifications:


  • Working experience with time and attendance systems desirable.
  • Working experience with shared service centers desirable.
