About the job:

Red Hat is looking for recent graduates in Germany to join our 12 month Graduate Program in Munich as Sales Graduates, starting on September 4th, 2023 in a permanent role.

During the program, you'll have two 5 month placements in our Inside and Field sales organizations, exploring the role of Sales Account Representative.

You'll develop your sales skills and knowledge of our products, and gain familiarity with the company and customer facing experience.

You'll be assigned a mentor and buddy who will help guide you through Red Hat, providing important shadowing opportunities and learning assignments.

To support your continuous improvement, you'll follow an extensive learning path at Red Hat University that offers training on sales methodologies, technologies, certifications, and soft skills which will support your career development.

You will receive regular development reviews, which have been designed to ensure you gain the necessary training and experience. At the end of the first year your journey of learning will continue.

The program aims to accelerate your sales career and to have you grow in just 1-2 years from a Sales Graduate through an Inside Sales Account Representative, if you so desire, into a Sales Account Manager.

As a Sales Graduate at Red Hat, you'll experience the culture of our open organization and gain an appreciation of our solutions that you'll share with our customers.

You'll help bring open source enterprise solutions to life, whether it's through positioning our software and the value it can bring as an Inside Sales Account Representative or the Account Manager.

What you will do:

  • Use your sales knowledge and business understanding when assisting with specific customer projects under the supervision and mentoring of experienced Red Hatters
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with your colleagues and our customers, developing your own network for longterm placement
  • Complete a number of training courses at Red Hat University, and earn internally as well as externally recognized certifications
  • Respond to customer inquiries, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner, using your critical thinking skills to work through tough problems in innovative ways

What you will bring:

  • Passion for open source technology, customer service, sales and desire to build a career in the IT industry
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Fluent spoken and written English and German
  • Willingness to travel to and work in our Munich office and customer sites depending on assignment
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work effectively on your own and as a part of a team
  • Ability to collaborate with both internal and external customers
