    Job Description

    As part of the Regulatory Affairs group, the Homologation & Regulatory Compliance (HRC) department is responsible for navigating our customers through the increasing complexity of homologation, certification, and licensing to ensure legally and regulatory compliant business.

    As Regulatory Affairs Quality Manager (m/f/diverse), you will join a global and diverse team dedicated to ensuring the legal and regulatory compliance of our products with respect to the ever-evolving regulatory landscape. The role involves two main functions. You will be responsible for coordinating and leading multidisciplinary teams through the complexities of integrating regulatory challenges into the established tools, systems and processes. You will also be responsible to represent the department in quality technical compliance topics which concern regulatory and standardization topics worldwide.

    Your tasks in detail:

    INTEGRATION OF REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS

  • Leading and participating in global projects relating to new or changing tire regulatory requirements in cooperation with Research & Development, Marketing, Sales, Testing, Quality, Logistics and other related areas
  • Project activities including the process design, internal workflow, data integration and interaction with established tools and systems
  • Leading or participating in different projects regarding certification and label application, documentation and internal information processes

    • QUALITY MANAGEMENT

  • Managing an effective process steering with respect to potential technical Compliance (tC) cases for Tires and non-tire products within the Tires organization in close cooperation with Quality management & technical Compliance organization
  • Collecting, evaluating and presenting Regulatory Affairs input from S&R and HRC ( risk assessment, delimitation and impact analysis) and align with Continental legal team where necessary
  • Ensuring timely and comprehensive reporting
  • Responsibility to create, internally align and communicate official documents to external authorities & bodies ( due to reporting obligations towards Type Approval authorities, public regulatory bodies or similar)
  • Leading structured problem-solving activities, working hand-in-hand with Quality Management to ensure Continental Tire organization is exposed to as little risk as possible with respect to issues of Homologation and Regulatory Compliance

    • MARKET SURVEILLANCE

  • Support in market surveillance topics to ensure compliance to existing requirements
  • Shared ownership over EPREL (European Product Registry for Energy Labelling) Tires mail inbox
  • Responsibility to create, internally align and communicate official documents to external authorities and bodies ( to reporting obligations towards Type Approval authorities, public regulatory bodies or similar)

    • Qualifications

  • Academic degree or vocational training in the fields of Economics, Engineering, Business Informatics, Technical Communication, Science or IT
  • Experience within Quality Management, Research and Development, R&D Materials or testing department are desirable
  • Project management experience is beneficial
  • Business fluent English language skills (written and spoken), preferably German language skills
  • Skills in problem-solving and assertiveness
  • Process oriented thinking
  • High quality orientation
