Shell is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic C&P Lead Mobility DACH to join our Contracting & Procurement (C&P) Team in Hamburg.

The multi-national Team collaborates across several locations and performs all strategic and tactical contracting and procurement activities for the Mobility Business Unit which operates Shell's Petrol Station and Electric Vehicle Charging (EV) network in the DACH region.

What's the role?

Incumbent of this role will negotiate and manage several strategic and tactical contracts which includes contracting of EPCM & Maintenance services, Real Estate services, Equipment, and negotiations of strategic partnerships.

Besides performing tenders and contract negotiations, the role will require strong focus on post award contract and claims management.

This role plays an integral part in Shell Mobility DACH as incumbent directly contributes our ambitions to grow our network and become the Number 1 provider of EV solutions, increase sustainability within the supply chain and making Shell the Partner of Choice within the Mobility Ecosystem of the Future.

More specific responsibilities include:

Develop & execute commercially competitive contracting & procurement strategies for Shell Mobility DACH which meet the Business Demand while considering potential implementation of Global Strategies at local/regional level
Conduct tenders, evaluate bids & drive negotiations with Suppliers
Build and perform a Post Award Contract Management to ensure delivery of maximum value through each of the awarded contracts/commercial deals including claims management
Implementation of robust Contractor Safety Management practices and alignment to Shell's personal and process safety Goal Zero focus areas in close liaison with Contract Managers/Holders and Owners
Ensure continuous decarbonization of our supply chain in close collaboration with suppliers
Proactively identify & understand commercial/procurement needs from internal business partners (Shell Mobility DACH Business) and collaboratively propose competitive solutions This may involve constructively challenging the Business Demand and/or Procurement Practices to drive value and efficiency for the organization
Manage Supplier Relationship effectively and collaboratively drive continuous performance improvement via relevant contract key metrics (Eg: HSSE, Operations, Cost). This involves constructively challenging the Suppliers in terms of the contract delivery and performance
Build and maintain a strong network in the market, being fully aware of supplier developments and opportunities coming up in the market
Ensure strong connect across the wider C&P Organization (Eg: Downstream, Functions & Technology, Centre of Excellence) to ensure continuous cross sharing and leveraging of best practices
Provide coaching, support, and guidance to other team members to ensure delivery of results where possible

What we need from you

Minimum of bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Law or related field
Proven track record of extensive Contracting & Procurement experience is required
Experience in drafting and managing contracts
Proven track record in dealing and negotiation with third parties incl. incentivized contracts
Proven track record of execution excellence & delivering results, e.g through active contract management or CI Projects
Experience with SAP ARIBA is considered a plus
Highly tuned commercial acumen and curiosity with demonstrated ability to develop and deliver value from complex deals
Good understanding of strategic, technical, legal, finance, taxation, and commercial issues
High interest in contract negotiations & complex tender evaluation
Ability to articulate in an organized and precise manner
Selfstarter able to work and solve problems under own initiative
Strong interpersonal, influencing & stakeholder management skills
Fluent in both German and English language
