What You'll Do:

As Global Legal Counsel at Criteo, you will join Criteo's cross-functionally Global Legal Commercial & Product Team, with a primary focus on customized deals, product & privacy matters and general commercial matters.

This role can be based in Germany (Berlin) or Spain (Barcelona).

You will partner with commercial, product, GTM, finance and other teams across all parts of Criteo's business, including product development, go-to-market and product support, negotiating transactions with advertisers, brands, retailers, publishers and technology and data partners; providing advice on advertising and privacy matters; and otherwise providing high-value, business-focused legal advice in support of any other matters that come our way.

Who You Are:

A talented lawyer who can work independently, but can also collaborate in a collegial environment and accommodate a variety of personalities and cultures.

A minimum of 4 years commercial / tech law experience with a toptier law firm (with IP, privacy, technology experience) or inhouse tech industry experience (ad tech or advertising/marketing law experience is a plus).
Some experience in drafting/negotiating commercial and technology transactions including a general knowledge of data privacy (GDPR in particular), nondisclosure agreements, strategic partnerships, vendor contracts, marketing contracts, as well as advising on advertising guidelines and best practices.
Problem solver, with a pragmatic, commercial focused approach
Desire to learn and understand complex technologies supporting gotomarket activities.
Ability to engage with business partners of different experience levels, provide reasoned legal advice (in clear, easy to understand ways), empower partners through training initiatives and act as a trusted partner with commercial teams.
Fluent proficiency in English language (written and oral). German, Italian or Portuguese language skills would be a plus.
Ability to juggle competing priorities and work harmoniously with internal stakeholders and other legal team members.
Ability to really hit the ground running and adapt quickly to change business needs and/or priorities.
Lots of "go go go" and cando attitude.
