This internship position is with Security and Privacy Research group in Intel Labs.

Our mission is to drive industry-leading research on Trustworthy Execution, Confidential Computing, Secure AI/ML, Cryptography, and Privacy to deliver higher robustness and assurance on Intel platforms.

As an intern in this position, you will join a team of accomplished security technologists to uniquely focus on the definition of next generation of security solutions.

In our work we are evaluating how new processor and software techniques can ensure that critical data remains secure, even in highly distributed cloud computing environments.

You will have the opportunity to explore the latest software and system architectures for cloud computing. You will develop prototypes to evaluate and enhance your research ideas. You will have the opportunity to showcase your work through demos, whitepapers, and presentations at internal and external forums. your work will help in laying the foundation for future Intel products.

Good analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to multitask
Ability to selfmotivate and work in a dynamic and teamoriented environment with effective communication
Strong communication skills as demonstrated by published papers and talks
Agility to quickly adapt to changing requirements that arise due to new research results
Experience programming in C/C++
A basic understanding of fundamental security concepts

You must be a student enrolled in a Ph.
D. degree program in Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent with focus on software and platform security.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with designing and developing software for cloud and datacenter environments
Strong system software development and debugging experience
Familiarity with Intel architecture
Experience with microservices or FunctionasaService (FaaS) orchestration frameworks and runtimes
Confidential Computing
Experience with memory safe languages like Rust
