Your role

  • Do you have experience in providing compliance or risk advisory services? Do you enjoy advising and supporting front office colleagues to ensure compliance? Are you confident when it comes to speaking up for what is right and challenging at all levels?
  • If so you could be the Head for our Central Compliance team we are looking for to:
  • lead a team of compliance experts to ensure a strong compliance culture within UBS ESE
- enhance and maintain an Compliance Program to ensure that Compliance carries out its responsibilities and yearly activities based on this Compliance program
- drive the Compliance Risk Analysis on a yearly basis
- strengthen and ensure a consequent reporting of Compliance risks across all UBS ESE entities
- support the Head of Compliance when covering internal and external audits
- represent the Head of Compliance on key local risk committees and fora if required
- drive the identification, assessment, measurement, mitigation and monitoring of compliance risk within UBS ESE


Your team

  • You'll be leading the Central Compliance team, reporting to the Head of Compliance. We support our business by partnering with them to effectively manage regulatory risk in an environment of collaboration and constructive challenge. Our duties include implementing the Compliance Framework and to ensure regulatory and compliance risks are identified, properly assessed and recorded. You'll play an important role in helping us develop risk mitigating measures, controls and adequate remediation plans are in place. You'll also collaborate with global colleagues to ensure that best practices are being shared around the region/globe.

Your expertise
- team player with leadership experience, cultural ambassador and top motivator with entrepreneurial mind set, comfortable in working in a small, hands on team
- high level of interpersonal skills - ability to build partnerships, coordinate and communicate across the entire organization to achieve impact
- proven financial services compliance or risk advisory experience for ideally five years
- good working knowledge of the local regulatory environment
- degree from a university or similar including CCP would be a clear plus
- very well organized, structured, confident working autonomously and able to think out of the box and come up with ideas
- reliable and resilient (challenging situations and conversations don't sway you)
- fluent in English
