Team Leader (d/M/F) Fatigue & Damage Tolerance:
In this role you are part of the Structural Analysis organistion in Manching.

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

Analyse and validate metallic, composite & hybrid structures for Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT), using Airbus Defence & Space methods, to assess design solutions for a whole range of tasks, potentially from concept and structural development to certification and inservice maintenance
Ensure adherence to airworthiness regulations, relevant design principles, processes, methods and manufacturing capabilities guidelines
Define, interpret and validate tests
Support the structural design process to ensure required quality is achieved for F&DT within direct area of responsibility
Liaison with Stress, Design and appropriate Airbus Defence and Space departments
Interface and communicate with relevant stakeholders
Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency
Support for the acquisition process with technical advice and concept development
Preparation of internal project proposals for the respective time, cost and resource expenditure in the given area of responsibility
Coordinating the use of personnel resources within the given area of responsibility
Monitoring adherence to planning targets and taking countermeasures in the event of plan/actual variances in consultation with the superior
Risk assessment for proposed projects for the purpose of analysing feasibility
Reporting to the superior and requesting project managers with regard to adherence to quality and business targets
Be capable of leading a multiprogram / multidisciplinary team (planning, communication, work organization, etc)
Organizational and supervisory duties within the given area of responsibility

Desired skills and qualifications:

University Aeronautical Engineering Degree or equivalent
Several years of experience in Fatigue/DT Structural Analysis of airframe components
Knowledge of structural analysis in general and design details of airframe

- at least basic experience in stress/fatigue tools (standard FEM codes and SW packages)

Knowledge of standard references: books, papers, standards, etc
Metallic and composite materials behavior knowledge
Organization & Team-Leadership skills
Autonomous and structured way of working and Team player
Fluent English language (German is a plus)

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
