Welding Supervisor (all genders)

Your duties:


  • For the accelerator components and test rigs in the FAIR project, prepare, coordinate and monitor the welding tasks as the responsible welding supervisor in accordance with DIN EN ISO 1473
  • Checking the suitability of internal and external welding personnel and carrying out instructions
  • Acting in a qualityassured manner related to commissioned welding companies, by requiring the prescribed welding measures from the manufacturer
  • Prepare and supervise the qualification of welding processes as well as create and evaluate the necessary welding instructions
  • Performing quality controls and generating quality reports.

Your profile:


  • Successfully completed technical studies, for example in the field of mechanical engineering or comparable qualification
  • Qualification as welding engineer (all genders), ideally as an "International Welding Engineer" (all genders)
  • Initial professional experience as a welding supervisor (all genders) is desirable
  • Knowledge and experience of the common test methods on welded joints and ideally with training as a VT tester according to DIN EN ISO 971
  • Experience in the organization of manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Experience in regulated product areas (e.g. AD 2000, DIN EN 13445 ff, DIN EN 1090)
  • Very good communication skills to carefully communicate the requirements of welding supervision
  • Knowledge in the field of quality assurance is an advantage
  • Good German and English knowledge in spoken and written.
You are working detail-oriented and have distinct communication skills, a confident manner and social competence. Teamwork skills and solution-oriented working are mandatory criteria.
