As the Head of Vehicle Validation, you will have an immediate impact on the organizational strategy of our product development cycle.

This role is in direct support of the development of world-class, industry-leading electrified vehicles.


Responsibilities:


You Will:

• Define vehicle validation processes and procedures
• Participate in root cause analysis and failure analysis activities
• Support the development of acceptance criteria for vehicle level validation tests
• Oversee CAPex and OPex budget projections for present and future fiscal years
• Be held accountable for alignment of the validation department to executive leadership priorities and goals
• Document and report Validation issues across multiple levels of the organization
• Build a team capable of executing high levels of quality vehicle validation
• Maintain a wholistic view of your test fleet and manage daily shifting priorities
• Represent validation department's needs across the organization
• Oversee test plan development & provide priority guidance to the validation department
• Be a key member of organizational leadership and be heavily involved in strategic decision making

Qualifications:

You Have:

• BS in Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical
• Minimum of 15+ years of product development or vehicle validation experience
• Experience with commercial vehicles & customer expectations
• Deep skills on High Voltage components, sytems and integration in vehicle Architecture
• Strong background in technical reporting
• The ability to present validation findings and status across multiple levels of the organization
• An agile mindset, and the ability to respond to shifting demands
• Strong/passionate leadership and team motivation in challenging work environment
• Experience with building DVP&Rs from FMEAs & organizing multifaceted test plans
• Soft skills that enable cooperation amongst peer groups of varying disciplines
• Ability to identify roadblocks from progress and a track record of creatively overcoming them
• Strong technical writing skills are a must
• Ability to read, interpret and approve technical reports
• Must have an active driver's license with a clean driving history
• Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally
• Experience making decisions underpressure
• Team player attitude is a must

Preferred Qualifications:

• Broad experience in multiple disciplines within product development such as design

- (Commercial Driver's License D/E)

• Proven ability to identify and solve complex engineering problems
• MS in Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical
