BAE Systems is currently seeking a Systems Administrator who is interested in joining an agile team based out of Fort Belvoir, VA.

As a site lead located in Wiesbaden, DE (Germany), supporting our Program Management Office, and providing support to Department of Defense products and systems that enhance military capabilities, protect national security, and keep critical information and infrastructure secure, you will be able to make an impact while you hone your skills and grow in your career.


As a Systems Administrator, you will:

  • Assigns personnel to various projects, directs their activities, and evaluates their work.
  • Ensures longterm requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization.
  • Install, maintain, configure, and ensure integrity of computer software.
  • Implement operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.

As a Site Lead, you will:

  • Ensure that processes and network systems facilitate meeting performance requirements.
  • Serve as the PointofContact for local issues, authorized to act on sitespecific matters relating to the daily operation of the task order
  • Act as a "First-Level Supervisor" for siteemployees.

You may also:


  • Provide technical and analytical guidance to enterprise architecture team.
  • Direct and participate in high level enterprise analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation and development.
  • Participate in specified meetings, briefings, progress reviews, and other functions/events necessary for activities related to system administration.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Certifications:


One of the following:
CCNP, CCSP or Security+ certification

Must meet IAT requirements for Level II

Communication skills to effectively interface with military officials, managers, and subordinates.

Active TS/SCI clearance


Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree in technology related field and 12+ years of relevant experience including both
  • 6 years of either Systems Administration, Network Administration, Database Administration, or a combination of those areas
  • 3 years of experience managing teams of at least 10 people
OR

  • Master's Degree in technology related field and 10+ years of relevant experience including both
  • 4 years of either Systems Administration, Network Administration, Database Administration, or a combination of those areas
  • 1 years of experience managing teams of at least 10 people
