As a member of our Data Science team, you will use smava's rich data ecosystem to optimize decision making for the company's most critical activities.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Build highly accurate creditworthiness models
Build and maintain optimal matching algorithms between customers and banks
Build and maintain accurate sales forecasts
Build and maintain next best action algorithms for our sales team
Write productiongrade code and deploy it yourself

YOUR PROFILE

Masters/PhD in the area of statistics, mathematics, physics, economics, computer science or similar fields
Either a proven track record in deploying machine learning algorithms (experience deploying reinforcement learning systems would be a plus) or strong academic/research background
Proficiency in Python and in the most commonly used ML libraries
Deep understanding of ML algorithms and their subtleties
Good SQL knowledge
Experience with AWS is a plus, but not required
Ability to communicate complex research in a clear and precise manner to stakeholders
You are curious and selfmotivated to continuously learn and work with highly advanced methodologies and tools
You deeply care about writing clean and elegant code
Please note that this position can be held from one of our offices in either Berlin or Hamburg, or remotely within Germany. For this reason, eligibility to work in Germany is required.
