Airbus Helicopters is looking for a


Experienced Strategic Buyer - Navigation, Communication, Connectivity (d/f/m)


We are looking for an experienced Strategic Buyer (M/F/d) - Navigation, Communication, Connectivity, for current and future projects at the Donauwörth site as soon as possible.


Your location


At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product.

Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Manages new call for tenders for supplier selection, negotiates changes requests
  • Negotiates new contracts and amendment
  • Contract management, regular contract reviews and update
  • Defines and ensures execution of the product and supplier strategies with the multi functional team
  • Strategic relationship with suppliers, including supplier rating and development / new business opportunities, management meetings, technical and strategic roadmaps
  • Initiates and executes cost reduction campaigns and projects in close cooperation with the multifunctional team
  • Leads, drives and manages suppliers or projects under the own portfolio to optimize internal and external customer value, while minimizing total cost of ownership & risks
  • Support sales campaigns with suppliers
  • Periodic reporting, develop and update KPIs on timeline, deliverables, performance.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Study in business administration, engineering or comparable
  • Experience in areas such as business, contract and project management, program or support
  • Consistent way of working while maintaining agility and ability to suggest improvements
  • Independent, responsible and business/result oriented
  • Ability to communicate effectively and to work in an international environment
  • Agility in dealing with IT solutions (SAP, Excel,...)
  • Business fluent in English. Good knowledge of the French and German language is an advantage
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
