This is what you can do:
In this key role as Head of Manufacturing Engineering, you are going to have a huge impact towards a sustainable and state if the art Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Leipzig


Therefore, you will:

  • Have full supervision, technical leadership as well as accountability regarding personnel, budget and investment with all involved departments to ensure quality, time and costs
  • Build and lead a high performance, multidisciplined Manufacturing Engineering organization encompassing the whole ME perimeter including talent selection, training, development, engagement, ongoing performance and succession planning
  • Assure and manage of continuous improvement for all FAL processes (including logistics, IT, technology, production management)
  • Secure all FAL perimeter based on the development, assessment and implementation of new modifications, manufacturing concepts, technologies, work packages, improvements and calculations
  • Ensure the release of FAL's and Flightline's ground test instructions as well as their continuous improvements
  • Develop close relationships with Program, Supply Chain and Quality teams to deliver manufacturing engineering solutions in line with customer requirements and expectations
  • Accountable for sustaining and improving Program & Product manufacturing engineering systems in line with business case expectations

You'll bring this with you:


  • Strong leadership experience in managing/creating state of the art assembly lines in the aviation industry
  • Knowledge of EASA 21G and CAPEX, GTR, GTI, MAP & LEAN
  • Reliability, independence, resilience and team spirit
- coaching/mentoring mentality for the whole manufacturing engineering team

  • Experience of influencing stakeholders and establishing effective working relationships within a global organisation
  • Best practices and extensive knowledge within a fastpaced, dynamic manufacturing engineering environment with timecritical requirements
  • Willingsness for business travel to Leipzig once the launch of production in Leipzig
