Our client is an International Building & Engineering Contractor with numerous high value projects across Europe.


Role:


They are now seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Lead to join their fast paced team in Frankfurt, who will thrive working within a collaborative environment delivering fast paced market leading schemes within the Data Centre sector.

The Senior Mechanical Lead will oversee a team of Mechanical Supervisors and Sub Contractors as they carry out Mechanical installation within a large Mechanical system and ensure the project programme is kept.


Responsibilities:

Manage relevant client communications. Prepare method statements and risk assessments for construction activities and complete all HVAC deliverables within project and safety criteria. Communicate with project team to sequence installation of pipe-work to meet scheduled dates.

Access and manage the project commercially to validate the project on handover from estimating, proceed through to full technical procurement of all equipment, specialist sub-contractors and suppliers.

Assist with documenting and costing of changes to the work scopes and preparation of the monthly valuations and final account.

Management of Project Schedule two weeks look ahead in conjunction with the Project Team. Ensure the labour requirements are met and maintained as per project program requirements. Ensure the quality of the works is maintained at a high level and management of Sub Contractors activities. Ensure that all variations and delays are notified to Project Management.

Ensure all plant materials onsite are as per agreed specifications and all delivered materials are coordinated and stored in a safe and secure manner.

Ensure all matters of compliance and governance are identified and adhered to, including:
Health & Safety issues on site and ensuring that all Sub Contractors are working in a safe manner. Review ways of working and where possible implement changes to improve safety. Ensure housekeeping is kept to a high standard by all Sub Contactors. Complete weekly 'don't walk by' cards. Develop and implement company procedures with the package managers. Ensure change management is handled correctly (Cost & Programme).
