Some examples of real life projects we work on:

  • Matching drivers with ride requests to optimise marketplace efficiency
  • Guiding drivers to areas of high demand
  • Balancing demand and supply through dynamic pricing
  • Running A/B tests to measure the impact of marketplacelevel featuresAgentbased simulation of cities
  • Please note that _
_Berlin__ is a techhub where we are hiring locally only, and Bolt will not support your relocation to _
_Berlin__. However, relocation to Tallinn (our HQ) will be supported. See the relocation support we are providing_ _here_.If this role is interesting to you, and you're currently located outside of _
_Berlin__, please consider this role in Tallinn, Estonia instead._

Your daily adventures will include:

  • Building endtoend machine learning models, from prototyping to deploying data science pipelines in production
  • Leveraging machine learning techniques to model/forecast marketplace demand and supply to enable optimal pricing strategies
  • Developing algorithms for efficient driver dispatching
  • Validating hypotheses and running simulations to estimate the models' influence on the marketplace
  • Working with a technical stack consisting of Python, Docker, SageMaker, Airflow, Spark, Presto
  • Collaborating with data analysts, data scientists, product managers and software engineers in feature teams
  • Solving customer problems and developing novel technical solutions within the broader data science team.

We are looking for:

***:
***:

  • Strong ML profile with experience in data modelling, feature engineering, and model training (3+ years recommended)
  • Experience in practical machine learning: GLM/Regression, boosting, bagging, feature engineering, modelling, model testing and validation, error analysis etc.
  • Understanding of analytical methods, such as simulation, network analysis, decision analysis, multicriteria analysis, scenario analysis, optimisation, game theory
  • Ability to write productionlevel code
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries
  • Proactive mindset, willingness to take the initiative and work with little supervision
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Track record of deploying models to production and measuring the impact

You will get extra credits for:

  • Experience in developing dynamic pricing algorithms and optimising marketplaces
  • Familiarity with experiment design (specifically marketlevel experiments and causal inference)
  • PhD in computer science, statistics or related quantitative fields, or a Master's degree with equivalent industry experience
  • Background in econometrics, operations research, simulation, or quantitative analysis of behaviour
