TASKS Accountabilities for Business, Customers and Stakeholders**- Lead and develop HSBC's leveraged finance sponsor backed transaction and portfolio strategy. Manage and develop the sponsor strategy and propositions including proactive strategic transaction origination; maximise engagement with all team members, external clients and deliver FRP income and returns, winning new clients for the business, delivering revenues from across the portfolio.
- Ensure appropriate oversight and management in the business risk profile people, client quality, transaction execution, compliance and reputation.
Leadership & Teamwork
- Assist in developing and implementing the MMFS CE origination strategy, aligning to the overall HSBC Germany, Continental Europe and GCMB collaboration strategies.
- Lead in the execution of the MMFS strategy through the existing team, ensuring the team receives appropriate coaching, training and development.
- Liaise and work with other areas, sectors and segment teams of the bank to ensure the best possible experience and outcomes for clients, employees and the Bank.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven ability to operate at a senior level with experience of working with Executive stakeholders or equivalent as well as a proven track record of delivering innovation and change in a sophisticated market.
- Extensive experience of the European Private Equity sector, with a significant reputation in that market, and experience across the Bank's structure, products and services.
- Economic and market environment understanding with an ability to demonstrate how this impacts MMFS' business / future proposition.
- Structured Finance transactions, IPOs, leveraged finance, syndicated loans, private placements, bonds and securitisation and global capital markets.
- Proven track record managing high performing teams.
- Economic, social and governmental environment and industries / sectors in Europe and Globally.
- Significant experience within the leveraged finance/capital markets areas.
- Professional qualifications appropriate for the role.
- Full written and spoken fluency in English and a good command of German (ideally).
