The product portfolio we manage includes surge arresters, insulators and the associated components. Our products are used all over the world in medium-voltage, high-voltage and extra-high-voltage networks. We produce our products in our factories in Berlin and Wuxi (China). Good cooperation, short communication and decision-making channels are the basis of our success.

As a specialist for insulators, you are the technical contact for all topics related to our insulator portfolio.

You are part of a team that deals with the implementation of development projects according to the requirements of product management.

You will support the projects of our development department with your expertise and drive innovative solutions.

Furthermore, as a representative of Siemens Energy, you are active in the relevant standardization committees and represent our interests there.
In addition, you will support our colleagues from production, purchasing, engineering and sales with your expertise.

How You'll Make an Impact

Contribution of expertise in the development of new products and support of the development process
Technical assessment of product safety issues in preparation for the decision by the development management
Management of basic development projects with the aim of ensuring high product quality and expanding expertise in insulators at Siemens Energy
Representation of Siemens Energy's interests in the relevant standardization groups (IEC, IEEE, DKE) and committees of Cigrè
Advising manufacturing, purchasing, engineering and sales on product issues

What You Bring

Successfully completed university studies in mechanical engineering or comparable training with many years of professional experience
Many years of relevant experience in the development and manufacture of insulators
Extensive knowledge of relevant insulator standards (IEC62217, IEC61109, IEC61952)
Deep understanding of the function of insulators
Ability to work in a team, result and customer orientation, creativity and an independent way of working
Business fluent German and English skills
