Phenotyping Data Scientist (M/F/d)(M/F/d)

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build, lead and drive the implementation of the digital transformation of the global small molecules organization as well as enable and promote databased decisionmaking
  • Generate hypotheses in collaboration with domain experts based on analysis of phenotyping and biological data as well as create innovative predictive models to advance the R&D pipeline
  • Collaborate with wet lab scientists to develop models and pipelines to analyze phenotypic and image data to enable better and faster decisionmaking
  • Work closely with data engineers to put the models and tools you will develop into production
  • Identify and evaluate novel digital phenotyping technologies and data science methodologies
  • Play an active role in the Crop Science R&D phenotyping community
  • Work in hybrid environment with global project teams and stakeholders

WHO YOU ARE

  • University degree or PhD in the computational or natural sciences in a field such as computer science, data science, robotics, remote sensing, mathematics, bioinformatics, physics, statistics, computational biology, computer vision or similar field
  • Programming or scripting experience in languages such as Python, R, C++, or Java
  • Experience in developing models to analyze biological, image, or phenotypic data as well as experience in using high performance computing or cloud computing environments
  • Motivated to lead and engage teams through transformation
  • Excellent selforganization, problemsolving and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong scientific and analytical thinking skills
  • Highly developed soft skills and potential for leadership
  • Ability to manage complexity and to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Able to present complex issues clearly and convincingly to crossfunctional teams
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
