The department Risk Analytics, Provisioning & Steering at Mercedes-Benz Mobility Headquarters provides and maintains standardized methods for credit risk reserve setting in accordance with IFRS 9 and is also responsible for the monthly calculation of credit risk reserves, for risk steering and reporting for the global Mercedes-Benz Mobility entities.

Our Team Credit Provisioning Methods and Parameters takes care for the following tasks:

  • Being responsible that MBM's balance sheet position for credit risk reserves is based on adequate IFRS 9 parameters and method
  • The calibration and validation of IFRS 9 parameters and seeking the required approval by respective stakeholders/committees
  • Being the owner of the IFRS 9 method at MBM; in particular taking care for required adjustments based on regulatory requirements or due to new business requirements
  • Assuring compliance of IFRS 9 credit risk modeling and supporting regulatory audits
  • Coordinate simulation activities
Lead and support in investigating, managing, resolving and responding to ad hoc requests

  • Your tasks as a working student will be:
  • You support during the calibration and validation of the applied statistical models with respect to method related topics and issues
  • You develop and test SAS, VBA or Power BI based tools

Qualifikationen:


  • You are a student of Business Mathematics, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Business Administration (preferred with a focus on quantitative methods), or comparable education
  • You are motivated to utilize your analytical, statistical and conceptual competencies, you enjoy working with big volume of data
  • Knowlegde about the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) with focus on risk reserve calculation is benefical
  • You gained knowhow in MS Office, experience in VBA programming, SAS or Power BI is beneficial
  • As you are motivated to work in an international and multicultural team, you master English in speaking and writing, German languages skills are beneficial
  • Strong ability to work independently, responsibly and selfdriven, strong communication skills
