  • PLAION (formerly known as Koch Media) is an international media company with more than 2000 employees worldwide. As a leading and independent producer and marketer of digital entertainment products in Europe, the USA, Australia and Japan, our business areas include the production of films and games, the purchase and sale of film license rights, the distribution of digital media products and games publishing under the Deep Silver, Prime Matter, Ravenscourt, Vertigo and Milestone game labels.

The legal team at our Headquarter in Munich is dealing with all legal and compliance topics for the group starting from business contracts with a wide range of international business partners on behalf of PLAION group member companies, M&A projects, corporate topics as e.g.

intellectual property, trademark and copyright, competition law etc.


Your Tasks:


  • Handle a wide variety of commercial, corporate and compliance matters
  • Support the General Counsel in selected projects, focusing on legal matters of all subsidiaries and divisions of the Group as well as any other legal matters that are assigned to the PLAION Legal Team by the parent Embracer Group
  • Create, review and negotiate mainly in English a wide variety of commercial agreements as well as terms and conditions
  • Assist with the group ́s acquisitions, divestitures, investments and similar transactions
  • Support the business from the legal perspective on the whole M&A processes from the strategic planning to managing and overseeing the legal due diligence through to drafting, and reviewing the relevant agreements up to the postmerger integration process

Your Profile:


  • Fully qualified lawyer in Germany with outstanding legal qualification (as a minimum "befriedigend" in each German State Exam)
  • Ideally already experienced especially in the conception, drafting and negotiation of complex license, distribution
- and cooperation contracts with international licensors, producers, suppliers, customers and partners in English language

  • Experience with games and media law is an advantage, or relevant experience in an international corporation or law firm, however, qualified beginners with a strong affinity for videogames and the games industry are welcome
  • Excellent English language skills that include the ability to independently draft, review and negotiate contracts
  • High professional ambition, team player attitude and handson mentality
  • Quick comprehension of legal and commercial context are essential, technical affinity is an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication on legal matters
