Job Summary
We are looking for an Electronic Technician for our Microbial Solutions site in Kaarst.

This position will also have the following responsibilities:

  • Perform testing, troubleshooting and repairs of electronics to component level.
  • Mechanically assemble and disassemble new and existing equipment.
  • Perform and operate test equipment and solder devices as necessary
  • Create, develop and continuously improve SOP's related to the Instrument Service Depot and consult with QA when necessary.
  • Be able to analyse situations and use own judgment when solving mechanical problems independently.
  • Coordinates scheduling and assists department personnel in the absence of another Technician.
  • Responsible for mastery of all SOPs in area of responsibility.
  • Responsible for documentation in accordance with company policies, cGMP and FDA.
  • Assist Technical Services by loading software, calibrating new equipment and ensuring new equipment is properly packaged.
  • Perform and assess data entry into software program to track machine repairs.
  • Interpret past repairs on PTS and MCS machines along with our Biotek, PRS3 and Celsis range of equipment and any new equipment that come on stream.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Minimum qualifications related to the Instrument Support Specialist role include:

  • Degree or Diploma in an Engineering associated course or equivalent experience.
  • 13 years of relevant experience in an electronics environment.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above
  • Must be able to understand and read schematics.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite. Experience in data entry preferred.
  • Attention to detail in all aspects of the job is essential.
