Team Lead Logistics Germany Onshore

This is your opportunity to shape, grow and drive Siemens Gamesa Onshore business in Germany.

You will be in the driving seat to manage the projected growth for the project logistics scope of the German market.

This position will report to the Head of Projects for Germany


Your main tasks include:

  • Lead a team of logistic project managers that
- plan and execute transports of wind turbine components, including related groupage cargo and containers by sea and road freight from production plants and ports to sites
- coordinate return flow of transport and lifting equipment in cooperation with local site management and internal Material Management Team

  • Handle claims and variation orders with forwarders and internal stakeholders
  • Continue and develop our partnerships with transport suppliers as well as our collaboration with relevant governmental bodies and transport associations
  • Further develop the logistics team in Germany along the expected project growth
  • Collaborate with procurement and global logistics functions to adapt and implement global logistic standard according to the needs of the customers in Germany
What you need to make a difference

Passion to deliver transports to our sites successfully in one of the largest Onshore markets.

  • You have a freight forwarding education combined with experience in project logistics and/or oversized transportation and in outbound logistics
  • You possess advanced English and German skills both spoken and in written allowing you to manage our main logistics suppliers.
  • It is an advantage to have experience within vessel management and the handling of international heavy load transports
  • It is an advantage to be familiar with contract and claim management
  • You are proactive, and you can create and maintain an overview of complex tasks
  • Previous experience in leading a team would be a good to have
  • You put the customer at the center of what you do, are reliable, pragmatic and a team player
