Overview of the Role


This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Client Marketer to strategically lead effective integrated marketing campaigns to engage clients and generate new leads across Continental Europe.

The role is integral to support the growth of the European business, with a focus on the pension, insurance and private wealth markets.

Based in Nuveen's Frankfurt office, close alignment with the firm's sales, product & marketing teams is required to strategically set and execute 'go to market' plans and best position Nuveen for growth.


The role requires generalist marketing knowledge as it touches a wide spectrum of mar-com activities and will serve as a liaison to other marketing functions including brand, communications, digital, product marketing, social and paid media.

Main


Responsibilities:


  • Lead a team of client marketers in Continental Europe responsible for building gotomarket plans that align with business priorities, leveraging synergies across regional campaigns and ensuring resource efficiencies.
  • Partner closely with Head of Continental Europe sales leader and team, ensuring marketing campaigns strategically align with capital raising priorities and themes, and communicating marketing strategy and results.
  • Collaborate closely with wider marketing team to build and execute creative and engaging campaigns aimed at acquiring, developing and retaining Continental Europe clients, ensuring all activity is in lockstep and delivers measurable results.
  • Support in the creation and delivery of brand awareness opportunities for business including advertising, events and sponsorship.
  • Contribute to journey mapping for Continental Europe audience across focus segments (pensions funds, insurance, private wealth and consultants) including identifying gaps, pain points, positive experiences, and identifying opportunities for future state needs ensuring a clientcentric experience.
  • Work with marketing analytics team to track, report and analyse marketing activities, ensuring regular reviewing and refining to improve performance.


Technical Skills & Qualifications Required- 10+ years marketing experience- Degree educated- Qualification in Marketing preferred- Experience working within financial services and an understanding of the European market and segments- Strongly fluent in written and spoken native German and professional English.- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Competencies Required- Enthusiastic individual, with a collegiate approach, able to work in a culturally diverse organisation and at different levels of the business- Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to express complex issues succinctly and clearly to business partners- Strong organisational skills, able to operate under time pressure and multi-task- Inspiring leadership skills that build and develop teams to perform at their best- Demonstrates diligence, analytical approach and works proactively to resolve issues- Able to think independently and challenge in an appropriate manner- Experience of working on a broad range of matters with a flexible attitude- Comfortable operating in/with a multi-location and multi-national extended team- Self-directed, self-starter, and motivated with the ability to work with mínimal supervision in a complex organization

Preferred Skills- Cross border and multi-lingual experience/skills- Creative thinker with ability to bring innovative ways to market the business- Experience driving pan-European client marketing campaigns- Strong collaborator that can bring together cross-functional groups to deliver measurable results
