We are looking for a Marketing Copywriter - English for our Creative Localisation team in the heart of buzzing Berlin

Babbel's Creative Operations department is a diverse collection of creatives from all over the world.

We are passionate about telling great stories, and motivating people to realise their dreams and fulfil their potential - by learning a new language.


Within Creative Operations is the Creative Localisation team, which ensures Babbel's message reaches learners (and future learners) in the form of game-changing marketing, scroll-stopping social media, and attention-grabbing ads.

We tell Babbel's story in 8 different languages, and we'd love your help doing so in English.


You will:


  • Help deliver great stories across multiple offline and online channels, whilst safeguarding the voice of the Babbel brand
  • Craft video & radio scripts, social media posts, digital ads, CRM newsletters, marketing campaigns, press releases, surveys, etc. You will also copyedit, proofread or adapt additional assets, all for the attention of a global audience
  • Work on proprietary style guides and glossaries, setting newer, bolder standards in various formats alongside both team members and technical experts from a diverse range of fields
  • Create, update and elevate content for Babbel's different products and channels

You are:


  • A talented and versatile copywriter and editor that strives for greatness, even at pingpong in the rec room
  • A natural storyteller with practically superhuman writing and editing skills in English
  • A language enthusiast and deep thinker with an eye for detailand also a healthy obsession with punctuation marks
  • A standout problem solver with marketing chops and a keen understanding of digital strategy
  • Proficient in English
  • Pragmatic, proactive, passionate, and highly collaborative
  • Comfortable writing copy for digital channels and UX copy for different audiences and purposes
  • Comfortable working with evolving brand guidelines and systems
  • A strategic thinker, able to see an idea through from concept to execution
  • A great communicator and collaborator, with strong time management skills and a willingness to merge minds

You have:


  • 2+ years of experience writing copy for digital marketing channels, with a particular focus on acquisition and retention (Paid Social, SEM, CRM, etc.)
  • Experience working with content for web and/or mobile experiences
  • Experience or some knowledge of creating SEOoptimized content (a plus)
  • The ability to speak a second and even third language (and the ability to transcreate copy from the same) would be a strong plus
