Enterprise Architect (d/f/m)


Airbus Helicopters is looking for an Enterprise Architect M/F to join our IM (Information Management) Strategy & Architecture department based either in Marignane, France or Donauworth, Germany.


Within Airbus Helicopters' IT organization, IM Strategy & Architecture department is responsible to support the company's strategy and business roadmaps in proposing global architecture design for decision making and implementation framing.

The challenges of the international team are to build and deploy a strategy around innovative technologies in perpetual evolution, to master convergence, standardize means, simplify and modernize the information system.


The team is in contact with a large audience of stakeholders (business directorates, digital transformation office, IM representatives, Airbus divisions - subsidiaries, partners ) in an international context.


This mission of Enterprise Architects covers a large scope, different domains (business, IT), innovation topics and the role is becoming similar to internal business / IT consultant for architecture design (civil or military projects).

Your location


At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product.

Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Design and maintain the architecture of our digital solutions answering company processes and helicopter programs needs.
  • Take into consideration all satellites solutions (including SaaS) and interoperability (in respecting data compliance rules)
  • Promote architecture guidance, roadmaps, principles, standards and best practices
  • Support the decision making process of the digital solutions investment considering all business challenges
  • Contributes to the network of architects at all levels of the portfolio
  • Works with the CIO and IT leaders to find the right EA organizational design to drive businessoutcomes.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Competencies on complex architecture design (from business processes to technical architecture).
  • Knowledge on standard frameworks and repositories for enterprise architecture: Togaf, IAF, Alfabet, ServiceNow, Archimate
  • Knowledge of integration technologies (API, ESB, ETL, event streaming ) and infrastructure components (Cloud, network, IAM ).
  • Leadership experience and ability to direct teams and manage their work.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work in a teambased setting and alone.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology (or equivalent)
  • 5 years (at least) of proven experience in an international context
  • Advanced level of English
