How you'll make an impact:


HR Administration (~50%):


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for our talents, providing guidance on HR and Payroll matters throughout the entire life cycle of a trivago talent
  • Create HRrelated documents and employment contracts
  • Assist our talents during Visa and Work Permit processes, facilitating their integration into our team in Düsseldorf
  • Maintain personnel files and master data in the relevant HR management system (Workday)

Payroll Specialist (~50%):


  • Drive the monthly payroll preparation process, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments for all employees
  • Input and review all payrollrelated records, including bonuses, longterm leaves, relocation reimbursements, and more
  • Perform monthly audit checks
  • Closely coordinate with our external payroll provider

Overall responsibilities:


  • Actively participate in the ongoing optimization of processes, taking charge of focus topics and projects
  • Collaborate closely with various trivago teams, including HR Business Partners, Workday developers, and other stakeholders

What you'll need to thrive:


  • Ideally, you possess relevant work experience in HR Administration and/or Payroll Preparation
  • Solid understanding of labor law, with a focus on Germany
  • Excellent communication skills in both German and English (our company language)
  • Demonstrated growth mindset and a strong sense of ownership
  • Problemsolving mentality and high degree of service orientation
  • Experience with HCM tools, preferably Workday
  • Keen attention to detail and proficiency in Excel
