To support our dynamic Technical Hub Team
in Essen and for an immediate start we are looking for
an ETS Engineer for each market*:

  • Italy and France.**
    Technical Support (M/F/d)

Key Responsibilities:


  • The role of the Technical Support Engineer Europe is to provide technical information and recommendations at the highest level, primarily by Global Concern Management (GCM) technical assistance web based requests, back to the NSC retailer network for the resolution of customerrelated vehicle issues and FRED submissions through the GCM system
  • Provide high quality dual brand technical support information and recommendations, by using 'best practice' processes
  • Provide prompt technical assistance and complete and accurate resolution information in line with the agreed market Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and Service Level Agreement (SLA)
  • Provide prompt technical assistance and complete and accurate resolution information
  • Provide local language translation as required by NSC market for engineering requests
  • Collate and retrieve data from the relevant data management systems
  • Participate in training / product information updates
  • Participate in retailer visits / technical field support
  • Complete a Field Inspection Report in GCM after every visit for every vehicle inspected
  • Request technical field visits as and when required
  • Prompt technical assistance, and complete and accurate resolution information for TA submissions and in certain markets FRED submissions through the GCM system
  • Interact with secondary support level departments

If required to assist with technical field support:

  • To be available for field duty including overnight stays as required Completion of the GCM field service visit report and TA update with the outcome of the visit

Skills and Qualifications required:


  • Automotive Master Technician or higher technical education
  • Minimum 3 years of Workshop experience
  • Business fluent in written and spoken
    English and Italian for market Italy:
  • Business fluent in written and spoken
    English and French for market France:
  • Problemsolving competence, high analytical skills and quick comprehension in order to understand even complex systems and requirements and to be able to prepare training in a way that is suitable for the target group
  • Strong project management attitude as well as professional selfmanagement and stress resistance, which always enable you to act flexibly and keep an overview, even in a highly dynamic environment
  • High team and communication skills as well as a conceptual way of working
  • Resultoriented and independent way of working as well as analytical way of thinking
  • High affinity for numbers and technical understanding of automotive vehicles
  • MS office basic skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Electric vehicle knowledge, JLR certified Level 4 technician & EVSAP plus lidoff and first working experience as technical support engineer is desirable
