The Chair of Theoretical Physics II at the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy is looking for a


postdoctoral Researcher (m,f,x) in theoretical hadron physics for 3 years, 39.

83 hours per week, TVL E13:


Current research interests of the group include lattice computations of hadron scattering amplitudes and spectral functions, as well as chiral effective theories of hadron and nuclear physics.

Your tasks:


  • Contribute to exisiting research directions of the group, in particular the lattice QCD computation of baryon scattering amplitudes,
  • Work toward an interpretation of the quark mass dependence of baryon scattering amplitudes using chiral effective theory,

Your profile:


  • A university degree with doctorate in physics with focus on theoretical hadron and nuclear physics,
- a strong background in lattice field theory is preferred,
- proven skills in numerical and/or analytic computation,
- keen and willing to work in a competitive international environment,
- oral and written proficiency in English,
- motivated to organize and write scientific documents describing the work.
