What you ́ll do

We are looking for an intern or a working student to support our translation project managers in the Marketing service team at SAP's language unit LX (Language Experience) for a duration of at least six months.

Your main tasks will include:

Performing quality checks and corrections for source and target texts
Performing administrative tasks in internal translation project management environment and translation management system (Smartling)
Preparing projects for final handover, as well as archiving them
Managing translation queries via a tracking tool
Support reporting
Creating and updating internal process and tool documentation
Taking part in testing activities (e.g. for new tool releases)
Administrative support in strategic projects (e.g. in the areas of neural machine translation and speechtotext)

You will also have the opportunity to work on strategic initiatives that will shape the processes and technology our department will use in the future.

Ideally, you are available to work with us as an intern on a full time basis for at least six months (one full semester) and have a few semesters left before you graduate so that you can stay with us for longer.

Alternatively, you could join our team as a working student for at least six months.

In this case, you would be expected to work up to 20 hours a week during the semester and up to 40 hours during recess.

What you bring

Have experience of using standard tools in the translation field (for example, RWS Trados Studio, XTM, Smartling)
Have solid MS Office skills. Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and related tools is a plus
Are fluent in English and German; an additional language is an advantage
Are a team player who is able to work under time pressure, are highly organized, and have a very keen eye for detail
Are keen to gain a thorough understanding of translation processes at a major multinational company

Name any language matter - we will find the right people for it. We that is the Marketing translation service team which is part of the SAP language unit Language Experience.

You will be joining a team of project managers who take the needs of their customers very seriously and work closely with external translation suppliers to fulfill the customer requirements.

Our customers are our colleagues in the SAP Marketing units all over the world.

You will be dealing with a wide variety of assets (videos, Marketing brochures, all kinds of interactive formats.) in various content management and translation tools.
