Working in Communications:

Statkraft has an ambitious growth agenda, and we are stepping up public relations activities. Our German communications and marketing team is looking for a Communication Advisor, preferably based in the Düsseldorf area. The team focuses on public relations, content production, internal communication and on marketing communication.

The team is strong through diversity with every team member bringing a different skillset to the table.

We are looking for a Communication Advisor that would like to contribute to shaping the communication of one of the fastest growing renewable energy companies in Europe.


As a Communication Advisor:

  • You will interact with journalists and other relevant external stakeholders, especially in the regions where we are active in.
  • You will increase awareness and create acceptance for Statkraft's business and position our activities positively and transparently with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will identify, manage and execute effective communication formats for our existing and new business activities and implement them together with your colleagues.
  • You will advise strategically and support our power plant, trading, origination and hydrogen teams operationally in achieving their business goals through target grouporiented communication
  • You will, in close coordination with the respective business teams, pitch relevant topics to and respond to media enquiries, arrange and coordinate interviews and brief our experts.
  • You draft press releases, editorial texts, brochures, Q&A, organise (media) events etc. and work crossmedially for all channels of our internal and external communication. At the same time, you are proficient in all facets of social media and communication disciplines.
  • You enjoy continuous learning.


Thanks to your experience and expertise in managing topics and cooperating with various stakeholders, you identify opportunities, but also reputational risks.

You work closely with the other team members in Germany and exchange best practice with communications colleagues all over Europe.

At the same time, you consciously cultivate and expand your contacts with internal experts and external stakeholders.


Qualifications:


  • You have several years of professional experience in a similar role and a bachelor+ degree in a relevant field.
  • Beyond public and media relations you are experienced in both traditional and digital communication strategy and execution
  • You have preferably worked in the energy industry before and truly understand the energy world in its complexity
  • Excellent copywriting skills, exceptional attention to detail, editing and proofreading skills
  • You can translate complex information into clear and engaging content
  • You feel comfortable communicating and writing both in German (native level) and English (business fluent)
  • You understand how to effectively communicate and to engage with internal stakeholders, media, local communities and the public as well as corporate target groups
