Strategic Buyer (d/M/F) - Standard Parts

Your location:


At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product.

Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your main activities will be:


  • Manage the relationship with your suppliers and running projects to optimize customer value, while minimizing total cost of ownership and risks
  • Lead and manage call for tender (RFx) for new programs
  • Lead negotiations for serial and support topics
  • Guarantee the supplier fulfilment of milestones for ongoing developments (incl. redesign due to obsolescence)
  • Contribute to the product and sourcing policy in cooperation with the Multi-Functional Team (MFT), and elaborate the worldwide supplier panel
  • Support AH affiliates in their negotiation with your suppliers (AHI (USA), AH UK etc.)


As part of
Procurement , you will co-operate in a
Multi-Functional Team which is an important part of the mission, and leading cost reduction projects is the backbone of our mission and objectives.


Furthermore, your responsibilities include the following:

  • Be actor for cost improvement and identify savings
  • Improve operational performance of suppliers (OTD/ OTQ) in close cooperation with SCQM.
  • Lead the Support Contract negotiations and work with AH Customer Support department to improve suppliers' performances in the aftermarket.
  • Manage supply chain risks and opportunities with your suppliers

Therefore, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Business/ Economics or Equivalent
  • Experience in purchasing, contract and project management, programs or support would be great
  • Willingness to work within our dynamic team
  • Rigorous way of working, while being agile and able to propose continuous improvement
  • Autonomous, accountable & business/ result oriented
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Agility with IT solutions (SAP, Excel,)
  • Negotiation level in German and English. Good knowledge of French would be an advantage.
