Localization Specialist for German (M/F/d)

Short description:

As German Localization Specialist, you will be responsible for localizing various content types from English into German. This may include content related to our digital products or marketing.

In collaboration with the global Content team and the Localization Manager, you'll be responsible for making sure all content is compelling, consistent, and tailored to the German market.

As the German Localization Specialist, you will be responsible for localizing various content types from English into German. This may include content related to our digital products or marketing.

In collaboration with the global Content team and the Localization Manager, you'll be responsible for making sure all content is compelling, consistent, and tailored to the German market.

**Role And Responsibilities

  • Translate, transcreate and proofread content from English into German
  • Build and maintain German glossaries and translation memories to ensure consistency
  • Adapt the global tone of voice to the German market
  • Own the quality of all German translations
  • Work with various stakeholders to understand the product and requirements for localization
  • Be an advocate for the customer and foster a shared understanding of a customerfirst approach in the organization

Minimum Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • 3 years' experience in roles such as localization specialist, translator, linguist or language quality manager
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and oral
  • Good knowledge of translation management systems (TMS) such as Crowdin
  • Attention to detail and critical thinking
  • Thrives in a fastpaced, collaborative, teamoriented, crossfunctional environment
  • Develops and sustains effective and cooperative working relationships with peers and stakeholders

Additional Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience of banking, FinTech or similar areas is a plus
  • Experience working with Marketing teams
  • Experience defining standards and processes
  • Experience of working in Agile teams
