Digital Engineering Enablers team, we are currently looking for a Machine Learning Spacialist (M/F/d).

Location should be
Hamburg, Germany or Nordborg, Denmark.


We believe Artificial Intelligence (AI) will help us drive productivity and speed in development and solve specific problems in new ways.

This position will focus on supporting the Danfoss Digital Engineering Enablers initiative in building up and leveraging Machine Learning competences for faster simulation and design exploration, and content summarization.


Responsibilities:


In this role, you drive the adoption of machine learning as an engineering competence to help develop sustainable solutions faster.


Your main tasks will be:

  • Support machine learning competence development by training and coaching others. Coach on concepts and techniques of model reduction (e.g., of complex thermodynamics and fluid dynamics systems), uncertainty quantification, interpretability of a machine learning models, physicsinformed neural networks.
  • Create and maintain the state of practice: What are best practices for the generation of data used for training and testing neural network models? How accurate is the output of the trained network beyond the range of parameters considered in the input? How does the trained network generalize to other problems, for example, changes in geometry, topology, initial conditions, etc.
  • Facilitate communities to disseminate new insights and share best practice

Background & Skills:

The work in this role will be at the intersection of mathematics, computing, data science and engineering. A degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical or electronics) is a plus.

Additionally, we are looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience machine learning using Azure, TensorFlow, Jupyter notebooks, Python or similar
  • Software development skills and experience in using Modeling & Simulation in product development is a plus
  • Good soft skills for coordinating project teams and connecting to people
  • Able to inspire people and be a driver
