Overview:
Permanent, full-time, hybrid #LI-Hybrid

To provide efficient and high-quality compliance support in various business areas of the company.

The function will advise both local management and, where appropriate, the Board of Directors upon action and strategies appropriate to manage statutory, regulatory and operational risks and to ensure the business is run in a compliant fashion.

The function will have a direct reporting line to the Head of Compliance (Payments).


Responsibilities:


  • Writing and maintaining official AML and compliance policies/procedures for StoneX Financial GmbH and other business lines as may be required
  • Gap analysis of current policies and procedures vs Payments Services regulations
  • Assist in hiring junior staff members
  • Assist with German requirements for new payments platform
  • Conducting local business AML risk assessment and feeding into wider SFL AML risk assessment at least annually, and for any new products/business changes
  • Training staff
  • Providing regular MI and reports to Management and the BaFin where necessary
  • Identifying and keeping an inventory available to all staff of essential laws and regulations pertinent to the business;
  • Advise local management on relevant laws, regulations and best practice, and inform them about any developments in these areas;
  • Providing internal compliance reporting (crossbusiness);
  • Liaising with external bodies/the BaFIN on compliance matters, where relevant;
  • Ad Hoc projects as may be required from time to time

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of similar experience in the compliance field;
  • Project management skills;
  • Sound knowledge of German financial laws, regulations and industry practices;
  • Strong analytical mind;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • A good working knowledge of Word and Excel;
  • Strong problemsolving skills;
  • Proactive and "thinking outside of the box" approach;
  • High level of integrity;
  • Ability to work flexibly under pressure, often with short notice deadlines
  • Ability to work independently under mínimal supervision;
  • Good knowledge of English and German;
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
