YOUR FUTURE ROLE
This position is a limited position due to parental leave coverage.

As an Audience Relations Specialist (f/m/d) in this role you will support the work of the Government Affairs Business Development team in Berlin to build relationships and open doors to business opportunities globally, using the leverage of SAP's position in Berlin.


You will provide support by:
- providing briefing content to SAP executives on national and international politics, government delegation trips and high level B2G meetings
- supporting SAP engagement in global events: UNGA, WEF, MSC, COP
- conducting analysis of geopolitical topics, drafting POVs, helping to conceptualize and run events
- helping to prepare regular GA newsletters
- monitoring of public policy issues key to SAP, researching and informing on government programs and public incentives


YOUR PROFILE

  • Several years of experience in Government Relation
  • Specific information technology experience as well as international affairs experience and existing networks with government and/or industry associations Berlin is an asset
  • A good working knowledge of IT regulatory and policy issues
  • A good understanding of government policymaking processes
  • Experience in advising and communicating with seniorlevel corporate executives
  • Understanding of international issues and how a company can strategically face the challenges of the global market
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in operating in a public company environment, with a good understanding of public scrutiny, crisis communications and media attention
  • Ability to work in an action oriented, decisionmaking environment and be decisive
  • Proven to be a selfstarter and results oriented
  • Good analytical and communications skills
  • Familiarity with international diplomatic procedures/etiquette
  • Strong people skills and a reputation for being a team player
  • A clear reputation for ethical conduct

SAP Government Affairs


GA's mandate is to act as a trusted advisor to governments, anticipating and identifying policies or regulations that can impact the company in upcoming sales and earnings, including political and social developments that may create value to the brand, always aligned with SAP's strategic goals and organization-wide leadership.


The Business Development team within the Government Affairs department provides service and support to the regional GA colleagues, as well as directly to SAP sales and business development teams, with the aim to drive new business and support focus deals, enable field colleagues in all regulated sectors and help to build SAP's brand.
