RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will work on the thesis topic 'Development of driver electronics and driving schemes for a novel emitter technology for mobile IR spectroscopy.'
  • Electrical and optomechanical modelling of the emitter is one of your tasks.
  • Furthermore you plan, design and validate necessary optoelectronical test equipment.
  • In addition you optimize driving schemes for maximum optical output power.
  • Moreover you optimize and test suitable driver electronics, as well as implement and benchmark driving schemes.
  • You evaluate the performance regarding different aspects, such as modulation depth and lifetime.

QUALIFICATIONS
- pursuing a M.Sc. degree in Optoelectronics, Electronics, Mechatronics, Physics or a related field
- lab experience with electrical and optoelectronical setups and familiar with electrical measurement equipment
- programming experience in Python and ideally microcontroller programming
- experience in optical metrology, schematics design, PCB layout and modelling in LTspice is a plus
- fluent in English or German
- analytical thinking and willingness to learn
