Trainee Program Highlights:


  • Our Operations Professional Development Program (OPDP) is an entrylevel, threeyear rotational program designed to offer realworld operations experience while promoting personal and professional growth. An OPDP member will engage in different assignments within different divisions and across functional areas, including Engineering, Technical, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Planning/Material Management, and Global Operations Excellence.
  • Learn how to become an effective leader with every rotation opportunity giving you the tools you need to manage with confidence, agility, and compassion.
  • Upon completion of the threeyear program, an OPDP member will graduate out into the next fulltime postprogram position to continue growing his/her career, contributing as an Abbott professional using the foundation of skills, experience, and network developed during their time in the program.

Program Rotation Guidelines:


  • Three impactful assignments (12 months each) that drive business results in different divisions and different functional areas.
  • No assignment is repeated; each of them is with a different assignment manager.
  • OPDP members starting the program in July 2023 will complete a threeyear program with the final global rotation ending in June 2026.

Who you are:


  • Master/Bachelor degree graduate (or almost graduate) in Engineering, Science, or related disciplines.
  • Track record of outstanding academic performance and cocurricular activities.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, etc.
  • Has strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in German and English
  • Eager to learn and has the flexibility and willingness to work on different projects.
  • Previous work experience in internship or coop work experience
