KNIME is growing rapidly and we're seeking smart, motivated, and creative people up for the challenge of helping us achieve ambitious scaling goals while continuing to empower the active community.

Right now, we are looking for a Leader Workflow Macros to join our Development Team in Berlin or Konstanz.
Who you are

This position involves a mix of product ownership, team leadership, and hands-on work building KNIME workflows that add functionality to our software.

As a product owner and team lead you will steer the direction of the workflow macro group.


Relevant experience and skills include:


  • 23 years of product management or related experience overseeing direction and implementation of projects;
  • 23 years of team leadership in an agile environment;
  • Knowledge of the data science market space;
  • Practical experience with software development tools, e.g. Jira and Confluence, or similar tools;
  • Practical experience with communication and management tools including Slack, Box, Google Docs and/or Microsoft Docs and Spreadsheets;
  • Experience with a visual programming environment such as KNIME Analytics Platform;
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills and presentation ability;
  • English conversational or native (English is the working language in all KNIME offices).

As the leader of the workflow macros team you will work closely with the product management team and directly lead the workflow macros development team.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Working with other product team members to determine where workflows can be integrated into KNIME software;
  • Communicating with customers and users to understand their needs and how workflows can be used to meet those needs;
  • Identify new projects where workflows can extend our commercial product;
  • Working closely with the UX team to ensure DataApps built using workflows are following UX standards;
  • Stay up to date with the latest workflow features and update current workflows to utilize new features wherever possible;
  • Collaborate with software development teams to build new general features in KNIME Software to enable better integration of workflow macros;
  • Managing delivery of workflows as part of the software delivery process;
  • Ensure workflow macro compatibility with each new release of KNIME Analytics Platform and KNIME Hub;
  • Coordinate activity of the workflow development team;
  • Ensure team happiness.
