Are you an energetic and seasoned HR professional looking for a next step to your professional career?


The role of Valmet HR is to enable business success by developing a working environment that attracts the right people and helps them grow and perform to their highest capabilities.

We are looking for Director, HR Operations Central Europe to support all Valmet businesses, managers and approx. 1500 employees in 11 countries in all HR related matters.

In this role you will be in a key position to implement, manage and develop operational global and local HR processes.

Together with your team of HR professionals you will provide high-quality operative HR service and support to businesses in countries like Poland, Germany or United Kingdom and ensure the compliance with legal and statutory requirements as well as with Valmet processes and policies.

As a leader, you are responsible for the cost-effective planning of all activities and resources as well as for developing the people and way to operate in the team.

Obviously, you are a role model for managerial skills and actively promote health and safety issues. You are also involved in strategic HR projects and tasks.


You report to the Vice President, Global HR Operations and work closely together with Business Line / Area HR Business Partners, global HR functions as well as with local management.

Who is the professional we are looking for?


You will establish credibility quickly and fit into a diverse team smoothly, gaining trust and building rapport with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.

Hands-on attitude is one of your strengths as well as ability to organize your own and your team ́s work.


You have the needed basics in place:

a university degree in personnel administration or equivalent and preferably 8-10 years of work experience in various HR roles including operational HR in an international environment.


You are strong communicator (written and oral) in English along with presentation, negotiation and analytical skills; other language skills such as German or Polish are considered as an advantage.

Solid track record and experience in resourcing as well as ability to use different HR systems and social media are strong advantages.

You also master Compensation & Benefits field and are comfortable with collective agreements and union cooperation.

You can be located in any of Valmet's main locations in Germany, Poland or Finland.
