Technical Leader, Platform Engineering


Have you ever had a poor customer experience and thought of a million ways in which it could be improved? Have you ever empathized with those whose job it is to deliver customer experience and envisioned how, if properly empowered and motivated, the overall service delivery experience could be better? We are looking for an expert Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team of highly skilled Platform Engineers. Engineers on our team have a strong background in scripting languages, AWS services, and orchestration tools. We also expect to have experience with telemetry tools.

As a technical leader for Platform Engineering team is accountable for design, development and implementation of scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.

Hands on usage of service discovery tools and secret management tools would be helpful.


Additionally, familiarity with data processing pipelining, in-memory cache database, CICD tools, version control tools, service mesh, message streaming services would be a strong asset.

This Leader will also lead initiatives on cost reduction, security posture improvement, improving reliability and uptime of all core infrastructure services.

Dedication, hard-working, influencing others, inspiring others, transparent communication are some of the core expectations from this role.

Technical leader in this role is encouraged to direct a team of dedicated engineers to differentiate Platform and services in collaborative environment.


Qualifications required for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 15+ years of proven experience in the field DevOps Engineer and/or Software/QA Engineer role out of which 7+ years in Platform/Infrastructure Engineer role and 3+ years in providing Technical Mentorship to engineers on Platform development is encouraged.
  • Proficient in scripting with Python and Shell.
  • Strong skills with AWS services including EC2, S3, EBS, VPC, ELB, IAM, Route 53, Security Groups, and Elasticache.
  • Experience with orchestration tools like Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform, and HashiCorp Nomad.
  • Experience with monitoring tools which includes AppDynamics, Prometheus, Statsd, Grafana, Burrow (kafka lag), Kafka minion, and Victoria Metrics.
  • Experience with logging using Elasticsearch, Fluentd, and Kibana.
  • Experience with alerting using Prometheus alert manager, Sensu, and PagerDuty.
  • Experience with service discovery using HashiCorp Consul.
  • Experience with container platforms such as Docker.
  • Experience with secure secret stores such as HashiCorp Vault.
  • Experience with data pipelining using Kafka/Zookeeper/Apache Flink/MongoDB/S3/Elasticsearch.
  • Experience with inmemory cache using Redis and Elasticache.
  • Experience with CI and CD tools: GitHub actions, Jenkins, Argo Workflows, ArgoCD, Spinnaker, GitHub Actions, and Helm
  • Experience with version control using GitHub.
  • Experience with ops tools such as Rundeck.
  • Extensive experience with Istio service mesh.
  • Experience with software lifecycle processes such as Agile and Kanban.

Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation.
