YOUR TEAM:


Our "AI/ Data Platform" department is looking for an intern or a master thesis student to support us on a research project in the area of camera-based perception for autonomous driving.


We are a diverse team of AI experts distributed across Germany and work together with the different brands within CARIAD and the VW Group to develop AI-based products.

In this research project you will get involved in investigating and developing the state-of-the-art algorithms for domain generalized dense perception.

Through this research, new methods will be introduced in the context of vision-language models (VLMs), which will take mobility to the next level.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:


  • Support the camerabased perception domain area to promote autonomous driving
  • Implement and evaluate recent research methods in the area of deep learning and unsupervised domain adaptation/domain generalization for automated driving
  • Conceptualize, develop, implement and evaluate stateoftheart algorithms for visionlanguage models based on your own ideas
  • Setup cloudbased environments and pipelines and run machine learning experiments using common machine learning frameworks, such as PyTorch

WHO YOU ARE:


  • Enrolled student in Computer Science / Machine Learning / Electrical Engineering / Physics or equivalent field
  • Demonstrated interest in automated driving technologies
  • Experience with deep learning and deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Very good programming skills, especially in Python
  • Experience with cloud computing
  • Fluent in English
  • Organized and independent working style
