About the Role:
As HR Officer you'll provide efficient HR services to MHI-EMEA Duisburg Branch. Be the first contact for all HR related queries and escalate these when required.
Whilst Duisburg branch has a relatively small workforce, as HR Officer you will be working alongside the HR colleagues in Munich and London amongst others and be part of the much bigger MHI group company to ensure all employees and managers are provided with key information on HR processes and procedures.
What will you be doing?
- Responsible for the end to end payroll process and working with a payroll provider.
- Responsible for MHI-EMEA Duisburg Branch's benefits administration.
- Support with the recruitment process and to assess CVs. Coordinate and conduct interviews.
- Liaise with managers to determine salary level by benchmarking roles.
- Produce correspondence regarding offer of employment / contract of employment / changes to employment contract.
- Support with the training needs analysis at MHI-EMEA Duisburg Branch
- Create training budgets when required
- Manage employees' performance and salary review
What will you need?
Required Skills:
- Fluent in both German and English language
- Knowledge of German Employment Law
- Knowledge and experience dealing with a tariff and non tariff workforce
- Good analytical skills;
- Excellent attention to detail
- MS Office (Advanced);
- Good communication skill;
- Excellent customer service attitude (internal / external);
- Ability to manage priorities;
- Initiative and problem solving attitude;
Purpose of the job:
To provide efficient HR services to MHI-EMEA Duisburg Branch.
To be the first contact for all HR related queries and to work with external providers where necessary to ensure all managers and staff members are provided with key information on HR processes and procedures.
To process and oversee the payroll and benefits procedures for MHI-EMEA Duisburg branch. Work with the HR team in MHI-EMEA HQ London to align common HR practices.General Duties
HR Administration
Payroll and Benefits
- To prepare and work with payroll provider to ensure smooth processing of the payroll
- Responsible for benefits administration and coordination of providers
- Payroll and benefits analysis when required
Resourcing
- Support with the recruitment process and to assess CVs
- Liaise with managers and MHI-EMEA HQ HR to determine salary level by benchmarking roles
- Conduct interviews
- Produce correspondence regarding offer of employment / contract of employment / changes to employment contract
- Ensuring background and reference checks are complete
- Maintain job descriptions
- Conduct staff induction
- Coordinate probationary assessment process
- Assist with audit requests for HR data
Learning and Development
- Support with the training needs analysis at MHI-EMEA Duisburg Branch
- Work with management to create training budgets when required
- Analyse and conduct a training needs analysis
- Support in business improvement through employee engagement/motivation
- Search training courses and training providers when necessary
Annual Performance and Salary Review
- Provide training and explanation to all line managers and staff members to ensure their clear understanding of the annual performance process including setting targets/KPI's and performance reviews.
- Provide support and guidance to managers on how to provide effective feedback to allow their team to develop and maintain motivation
- Complete the annual benefit benchmarking and salary review working with line managers, budgets and MHI-EMEA HQ HR.
HR data base and files
- Keep maintaining and updating personnel data, files and HRIS system.
- Maintain leave, sickness absence records
Employee Relations (ER)
- Administrate all ER letters and documents
- Take ER meeting minutes / note if required
HR policy and Practice
- Provide and advise all managers and staff members on the HR policy and practice
- Keep up to date with the compliance requirements
- Undertake other duties if required
