We are looking for a Director, Logistics who has the objective to oversee and manage the Logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity.

In addition you establishe and drive the Logistics footprint to meet and enable our growth strategy, including our systems. You are a key pillar in order to guarantee the highest service level for our customers.

This position is located in either Frankfurt or Hassfurt/Germany or in Västerås/Sweden.

What will you do:

Manage and drive Sales Promise and customer service level in the area of responsibility
Focus on longterm roadmap and shortterm actions, including Service Level Agreements
Optimize constantly the Logistics network and investigate and execute identified opportunities
Manage own and 3PL warehouses
Involve Logistics in business development topics in new geographies
Drive continuous improvements through known methodologies, e.g. 5S standard in own warehouses
Coordination and driving the standardization and harmonization of processes and standards
Manage area of responsibility based on process flow, value streams and process cost calculation
Improve Service Claims in Logistics
Spot and drive sustainability ideas, such as CO2 emissions
Manage all related HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) topics in area of responsibility
Develop team and organization constantly, both in talent and capabilities as well as in overall setup to meet highest performance standards

What will you need:

Bachelor degree / Professional
At least 5 years work experience in warehouse and transportation, managing multisites, preferably with outsourced warehousing operations
Excellent knowledge of stateoftheart Logistics processes and systems
Track record in developing processes and driving projects in Logistics, including network optimization
Expertise working with continuous improvement tools and methods
Business Acumen, being numberdriven
Excellent analytical skills
Structured, proactive and persistent working style with handson mentality
People Leader with very good communication skills
Good MS Office Skills
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Fluent in German (written and spoken)
