In the Department of Science and Mathematics (FB 10), Institute of Chemistry - Organometallic Chemistry (Prof. Dr.

Ulrich Siemeling), the following vacant position is to be filled as soon as possible:

Research Assistant (M/F/d), EG 13 TV-H, fixed-term and full-time position (currently 40 hours per week)

Temporary full-time position (currently 40 hours per week). The position is currently limited to a period of 2 years (- 2 Abs. 1 Satz 2 WissZeitVG).


Tasks:


  • Active collaborative participation in research and teaching in the Organometallic Chemistry group
  • Independent research work in a subarea of lowvalent maingroup element chemistry

Requirements:


  • Master degree in Chemistry with aboveaverage final grade, obtained at an internationally recognised university
  • Postgraduate degree at PhD level (or equivalent foreign degree) in the area of preparative molecular chemistry
  • Extensive experience in handling air
- and moisture-sensitive compounds (Schlenk, glove-box, and cannula techniques)

  • High proficiency in spoken and written English

Advantageous are:


  • Substantial teaching lab experience
  • Careful, conscientious, structured, and independent approach to work
  • Creative and resultoriented working style
  • Good team player qualities (sense of responsibility, selfawareness, flexibility, organisational and communicative skills)
  • High intrinsic motivation
  • Excellent knowledge of and substantial practical experience in Organometallic Chemistry
  • Reasonably good command of the German language
