Your role


Do you feel excited about how the Digital and the Television industries are coming together when it comes to advertising technology and ad serving? Then you are in the right place.

Managers for Business Products play a key role in our product and technology delivery. They act as an intermediary between smartclip's main stakeholders and the development teams of our leading adtech platform.


You will be responsible for guiding and providing our leading broadcaster clients with the right insights, and products for joining both worlds together.


A new challenge has developed with the digitisation of traditional broadcast advertising: while traditional digital advertisements have been designed to fill an ad opportunity with a single spot, modern ad decision systems need to be capable of filling ad slots with a sequence of ads that must follow complex rule sets — creating the need for hybrid models of digital and linear ads.

This is a new field in digital advertising and your role will be in charge of pioneering solutions that address this challenge.


Beyond continuous development of our existing audio and video ad format portfolio, you will also play a vital role in the specification of new ad formats.

Part of your responsibility will be to work together with different stakeholders to prioritize and assess potential opportunities and incoming requirements.

You will also be involved in related implementation tasks including assisting our international clients with advanced supply side and SDK related integrations of our tech stack.

The wide range of tasks make this one of the most colorful and varied roles in our company.

It not only requires an extensive understanding of the business, but also a solid knowledge of ad serving technology, and excellent communication skills.


Your position in our team

  • Responsible for fully understanding the product both from a business side and technical perspective and being able to translate the business requirements into initial technical specifications.
  • Have a clear product understanding to define a proper roadmap based on information from our business owners and the market.
  • Handle communication with business stakeholders regarding requirements, business importance, and planning.
  • Contribute and assist with the creation of the general product roadmap by supplying clear feature requirements with appropriate business based prioritization.
  • Understand and map out the dependencies of the product and its features to third parties — especially the technical units.
  • Handle client calls to facilitate and assist in requirement clarifications and consultancy.
  • Monitor the use and success of the responsible products and supply our training and product marketing team with input to maintain appropriate functional documentation.

Your profile

  • Experience in adtech/martech, ideally in the field of digital video advertising in a technical role
  • Handson experience with the integration of SDKs
  • Good understanding of audio/video ad formats
  • Working knowledge of product development architectures and processes
  • Ability to balance technical knowledge with business sense
  • High degree of organizational skills, individual initiative, and personal accountability
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire business owners to drive collaboration and alignment.
  • Fluent in English, written and verbally. Any additional language (German, Dutch, Italian and Spanish) is a big plus.
