is a non-profit Kindergarten through 12th grade, NEASC accredited, IB World School offering an international curriculum to a student body of about 900 from over 40 nations.

For our annual English language immersion summer camp for children between 4 -12 years of age, we are looking to hire:Summer Camp Junior Instructors
(Kurzfristige Beschäftigung)
Starting End of June 2024. This Position is until End of August 2024.
The Summer Camp Junior Instructor supports the provision of care, supervision, and program facilitation for their assigned campers in each weekly session.
The Summer Camp Junior Instructor is responsible for supporting the general welfare and safety of participants as well as engaging and entertaining children participating in summer activities.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ability to assist Instructors and teaching staff with activities and set up and the supervision of children
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing situations and children's needs.
- Have a genuine interest in the development of youth
- Make sure all equipment and supplies are ready and setup for activities in advance and that it is properly cleaned up and stored at the conclusion of the activity or day.
- Assist in supporting programs to ensure maximum participation and enjoyment from campers
- Assist in the transitioning children from activity to activity and the movement of children throughout the camp day
Required skills and knowledge:
- Must be 16 years or older to apply
- Health insurance
- High energy, selfstarter with positive outlook and flexibility
- Experience and/or desire to work with children and youth in a camp setting
- Excellent people skills and a friendly, responsible, serviceoriented attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Uptodate knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working
- Display commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young
- Value and respects the views and needs of children and young people
Additional experience considered an asset:
- Camp experience
- Experience working with children and/or in a diverse, multicultural environment
- Second language, preferably German

- Info about time frame of availability (at least 3 weeks)
- Proof of measles immunization
- Proof of first aid training, no older than 2 years (otherwise there would be a mandatory first aid course on Saturday, June 29th, 2024)
- info about your current employment (job, school etc.) as well as your employment during and after the summer camp (university etc.).
