We are now looking for a

Working Student Photovoltaics System Design

located in our office in Berlin.

You have the following key accountabilities

  • Electrical and mostly mechanical design for groundmounted PV systems, with Auto-CAD, Helios3D, Helioscope
  • Concept and final designs, based on internal design guidelines and local conditions
  • General technical support for the team
  • Optimizing system design with respect to locationspecific boundary conditions and reduction of LCOE
  • Yield simulations using PVSYST
  • Close cooperation in the Engineering Team

Profile:


  • You are enrolled as a fulltime student at a university (Uni, TU, Fachhochschule) in Berlin or the federal state of Brandenburg (mandatory), preferably as a Master's student
  • You will study for at least another 12 months (mandatory)
  • Your major is Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar.
  • You have very good knowledge using CAD systems (mandatory), preferable AutoCAD or Civil3D
  • Ideally, you have good knowledge about photovoltaic systems from university or practical experience
  • Previous experience in design of PV systems using PVSYST, PVSol, or similar, is a big plus
  • You have working proficiency in English
  • You can work independently as well as in a team, with high personal responsibility
  • You are excited to work in the field of Renewables

High degree of responsibility.

  • We are seeking to fill this position as of June 1, 2023, or at earliest availability
  • You should have time to work a minimum of about 15 hours per week. Work hours are flexible, working student contract with up to 20 hours per week (40 hours/wk during the semester break)
  • We offer a 12month limited contract with the option to extend
