Maintenance Electrician

Description

The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems to ensure equipment availability and capability.

This role requires a deep understanding of working safely with electricity and other energy sources in an industrial setting. The Maintenance Electrician may work independently and is expected to instruct or coach others as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform work in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and specifications using various tools, measuring, and testing instruments.
Provide feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system.
Follow all process documentation and quality procedures.
Raise issues to minimize cost and quality exposures.
Perform quality inspections.
Fully proficient in performing troubleshooting, electrical repairs, and maintenance of equipment.
Conform to applicable codes and standards to maintain, install, and operate electrical systems.
Instruct and coach others, acting as an informal resource for team members with less capability.
Participate in continuous improvement activities.
Repair and replace electronic assemblies.

Qualifications, Skills:

Electrical System Troubleshooting
Analyzes an electrical control system to resolve and repair electrical issues to return the system to proper operating conditions.
Teamwork skills & flexibility

Making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.

Experience, Education:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or onthejob experience.
Education as mechatronics.
Experience with the repair of automated production systems, programming Siemens PLC, programming optical systems (Keyence/Cognex), Experience with programming robots (Epson).
